{"id":369,"date":"2017-11-25T01:25:18","date_gmt":"2017-11-25T01:25:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=369"},"modified":"2018-08-05T17:40:28","modified_gmt":"2018-08-05T17:40:28","slug":"ancestor-20-jacob-lance","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=369","title":{"rendered":"Ancestor 20 &#8211; Jacob Lance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jacob Lance was born 11 October 1830, Big Run, Barbour County, Virginia (now West Virginia) to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=279\">Henry Lance\/Lantz<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=391\">Elizabeth &#8220;Betty&#8221; Radabaugh<\/a>.\u00a0 In the 1850 census, Jacob was living with his parents in Barbour County.<\/p>\n<p>On April 21, 1853, Jacob married <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=372\">Sena Post<\/a> in Upshur County, Virginia (now West Virginia).\u00a0 \u00a0Jacob and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=372\">Sena<\/a> had four children:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=94\">William H Washington<\/a>, Josiah, Mary Jane, and Sarah Anne.<\/p>\n<p>Jacob died from a gun shot on 23 December 1862 in Upshur County, Virginia.\u00a0 His burial location is not known to me.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t find any information about why he was shot but there is nothing to associate it with the Civil War sentiments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jacob Lance was born 11 October 1830, Big Run, Barbour County, Virginia (now West Virginia) to Henry Lance\/Lantz and Elizabeth &#8220;Betty&#8221; Radabaugh.\u00a0 In the 1850 census, Jacob was living with his parents in Barbour County.
