{"id":391,"date":"2017-11-25T18:28:24","date_gmt":"2017-11-25T18:28:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=391"},"modified":"2021-01-28T17:45:31","modified_gmt":"2021-01-28T17:45:31","slug":"ancestor-41-elizabeth-betty-radabaugh","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=391","title":{"rendered":"Ancestor 41 &#8211; Elizabeth Radabaugh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Elizabeth &#8220;Betty&#8221; Radabaugh was born about 1800 in Barbour County, Virginia to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=903\">Adam Radabaugh<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=726\">Catherine Simon<\/a>.\u00a0 Her father, Adam Radabaugh died young in Ohio.\u00a0 Her mother, Catherine, returned to Harrison County, Virginia, before 1810 where Elizabeth would have been raised.\u00a0 Both the Simon and Radabaugh families were property owners in that area and would have seen that the family was likely raised.<\/p>\n<p>In the will of Henry Lance, her husband, he has Radabaugh property which indicates an asset of Elizabeth.\u00a0 But as final evidence of her parents, the marriage bond maintained in Hacker&#8217;s Creek Pioneer Descendants library gives her mother as Catherine Hall.\u00a0 Elizabeth&#8217;s mother did remarry Joseph Hall in 1815, and this document provided evidence that she is the daughter of Adam and Catherine.<\/p>\n<p>In 23 November 1820, Elizabeth married <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=279\">Henry Lance<\/a> and they had nine children:\u00a0 Adam, Noah, Washington, Barbara, George, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=369\">Jacob<\/a>, Benjamin, Isaac, Lafayette, and Marion,<\/p>\n<div class=\"pageWrap\">\n<div id=\"personView\" class=\"personView\" role=\"main\">\n<div class=\"personViewPages\" data-tab-group=\"pages\">\n<div id=\"tabContentStory\" class=\"tabContent tabContentStory form tabActive active\" tabindex=\"-1\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-hidden=\"false\" aria-labelledby=\"tabStory\">\n<div id=\"personPageStory\" class=\"personPage personPageStory\">\n<div class=\"lifeStory storyline \">\n<section class=\"lifeStorySec lifeStoryNarrative storylineHasTrail\" tabindex=\"-1\">\n<div class=\"con conHasArrow conHasArrowLeftTop narrativeCon\">\n<div class=\"conBody lifeStoryEvents\">\n<div id=\"narrativeText\" class=\"narrativeText colornormal\" data-narrative-original=\"When Elizabeth Radabough was born in 1800 in Harrison, West Virginia, her father, Adam, was 28, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 30. She married Henry Lance on November 23, 1820. They had 11 children in 13 years.
