Mary “Polly” Hess was born about 1790 to Henry Hess<\/a> and Mary Harter<\/a> in Amelia County, Virginia.<\/p>\n

She married John Robertson<\/a>\u00a0Robinson on December 11, 1806, in Botetourt, Virginia.\u00a0 The marriage record gives Henry Hess<\/a> as her father.\u00a0 They had 9 children in 18 years given in order of age:\u00a0 John, Issac Keys,\u00a0 Henry, Sophia<\/a>, William, Thomas, Betsy, James, and Charles Phillip<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She died after the 1860 census in Giles County, Virginia where she is 70 years old and living with her daughter Elizabeth and Charles Simpkins.\u00a0 As of yet, no death or cemetery record.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
