Jacob Havener, eldest son of Nicholas Havener<\/a> and Anna Elisabeth Seibert was born 07 Aug 1744 in Tulpehocken, Berks, Pennsylvania, USA.\u00a0 The family arrived on the Davy in 1738, and their first home was Tulpehocken.\u00a0 Jacob was baptized on 19 Aug 1744 in Tupehocken based on the Pastoral Records of John Casper Stoever and Early Lutheran Baptisms and Marriages in Southeastern Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

The family moved to Virginia and between 1750\u20131758 in Valley, Botetourt, Virginia, and Jacob’s sister was taken by the Indians at age 11, and returned.\u00a0 Two of his grandparents were killed in the conflict at Ft. Seybert, Virginia.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Jacob married Mary Mallow<\/a>, on 25 May 1765 in Brandywine, Pendleton, Virginia.\u00a0 It is presumed that she died soon after December 4, 1804, as this is the last date her name appears on any legal instruments made or executed by her husband.<\/p>\n

There were born to Jacob and Mary Mallow Havener<\/a>\u00a0ten children, as follows: Mary; Nicholas<\/a>; Margaret; Jacob; Adam; John; Henry; Daniel; Michael; and Samuel.<\/p>\n

Jacob served in the Revolutionary War,\u00a027 May 1780, in Virginia, USA; Minute Book “Virginia Militia in the Revolutionary War”, J.T. McAllister. ALSO – listed with Sons of the American Revolution – Ensign in Rockingham County Militia, Rockingham County, Virginia.\u00a0 Jacob is a proven ancestor with the DAR #A054055.<\/p>\n
