Elizabeth, a daughter of Abraham Hempenstall.<\/p>\n<p>Children of James Wilson and Elizabeth Hempenstall were:<br \/>\n(1). William<br \/>\n(2). Ralph<br \/>\n(3). Isaac<br \/>\n(4). James<br \/>\n(5). Elizabeth<br \/>\n(6). Martha<br \/>\n(7). George<br \/>\n(8). Samuel<br \/>\n(9).\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marysfolly.com\/?page_id=287\">Eleanor<\/a>\u00a0m William Armstrong<br \/>\n(10). Elibab<\/p>\n<p>Source Don Norman<br \/>\nBIBLIOGRAPHY: &#8220;Lewis County WV, Her People and Places&#8221;, 2000, p. 218<\/p>\n<p>William&#8217;s son James and Capt Samuel&#8217;s son Eli Babb were 1st cousins, best friends, and they married two girls who were first cousins: Elizabeth Hempenstall (daughter of Abraham Hempenstall) and Hannah Hempenstall (daughter of Abraham&#8217;s brother Isaac Hempenstall).<\/p>\n<p>Some history says that James had an injury that prevented his service in the American Revolution.\u00a0 With such a common name, it is hard to confirm any militia or military service.\u00a0 However, James is recognized with the DAR for patriotic service in paying the 1783 Supply Tax and the number assigned is A216363.\u00a0 James appeared just above his father on the tax record.<\/p>\n<p>James Wilson died July 3, 1810 in Pendleton County Virginia and is buried in Doe Hill Cemetery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>James Wilson, a son of William and Mary Hiner, was born March 8, 1758 and Pendleton County, Virginia.
