Henry Lance/Lantz was born 13 January 1799 in Rockingham County, Virginia to George E Lance/Lantz and Mary Woodford.
By 1820 he had move further west and married Elizabeth Radabaugh in Lewis County, Virginia. Henry and Elizabeth had nine children: Jacob, Adam, Noah, Washington, Barbary, George, Benjamin, Isaac, Lafayette and Marion.
Henry died in 1884 in Wetzel County, West Virginia and is buried in the Lance Family Cemetery in Barbour County, West Virginia.
